Ketel One's New Botanical Diet Vodka

Many of us enjoy a nice cocktail or glass of wine with our meals or after a long day's work, but for those looking to enjoy a drink of their own without worrying about the calorie count and breaking their own diets, Ketel One's diet vodka might be a great alternative.

Botanical

Over the years, many companies have been producing and releasing cocktails and other drinks with lower sugar calorie count designed to be alternatives to everyday drinks for those looking to watch their intake and stay true to any diet they follow. Ketel One's new vodka, Ketel One Botanical, is a new and improved vodka available in three different flavors with only 73 calories in total with every 1.5 ounces.

Ketel One's new drink is looking to become the number one alternative when it comes to "lighter" drinking. Compared to other drinks like wine, the Botanical vodka only contains 73 calories per 1.5-ounce servings, around 25 calories less than a regular glass of vodka. Ketel's drink is also naturally flavored and available in 3 different flavors, Peach and Orange Blossom, Cucumber and Mint and Grapefruit and Rose.

Furthermore

Ketel One's Botanical drink also contains a smaller amount of alcohol since it's sold as a drink "made with vodka" which many may prefer. Speaking to TODAY Food, Abbey Sharp, author and RD, said: "The nice thing about the new Botanical vodka is that even though it is flavored, there is no added sugar, and because it has some flavor already, it may dissuade people from making a [sugary] mixed drink — which is where the extra calories come in," and "The real question is whether you want flavored vodka or not," she added. "I don’t see one as necessarily being 'healthier' than the other, but rather, it really comes down to preference."
