Why The Paleo Diet Is The Go-To Choice For Victoria’s Secret Models

A personal trainer for the VS Angels revealed what diet the models follow to keep trim

Victoria’s Secret Angels are often deemed some of the most beautiful women in the world, the supermodels who are both desired and envied and who keep Victoria’s Secret in the booming business.

Personal trainer Justin Gelbrand was responsible for working with supermodes and VS Angels such as Irina Shayk, Karlie Kloss, and Miranda Kerr.

Gelbrand, in an interview with popular publication Business Insider, stated that over 80% of what the average individual does is based on what they consume.

Gelbrand disclosed that during fashion weeks, some models attempted to lose weight by following a liquid diet of juice only without telling him, the result is that not a single model ended up losing weight and several models ended up gaining weight.

Gelbrand is an advocate of the so-called “paleo” diet as the ultimate way to keep active, trim, and healthy without resorting to unhealthy calorie restriction or starvation diets.

A diet rich in nutrients that is sustainable with many health benefits

The paleo diet consists of eating exclusively what cavemen originating from the Palaeolithic period could find: meat, nuts, and berries, and absolutely no grains, sugar, dairy, or junk foods.

Foods that are included in the diet are fruits, seeds, fish, high-quality meats (organ meats included), vegetables, fermented foods, and bone broth. All these foods, rich in nutrients and low in digestion-impairing ingredients such as gluten and phytic acid, are beneficial.

Studies have revealed the paleo diet can promote fat loss, boost energy and overall strength, and reduce the risk of serious conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.

Following the paleo way of eating can also improve joint health through the elimination of refined sugars and flours and vegetable oils, which are heavily processed.
