Actress Markle’s diet plan is shockingly straightforward and not difficult to follow
Although Meghan Markle may expect a lot of changes in her life following her engagement to Prince Harry, one thing that Markle will likely keep the same is the way she eats.
Markle formerly ran a website offering lifestyle tips called The Tig, and she has never been secretive about sharing her own opinions about cooking, wine, and food in general.
Markle is a huge foodie and enjoys cooking for her friends and family whenever possible. Markle has revealed that her chef-habits come from her childhood as a young actress.
Markle’s father was employed as a lighting director on the set of popular TV show “Married with Children”, and Markle, who often accompanied her father to work, would assist the craft services staff whenever she could, where she began to learn how to garnish and plate food.
Markle admits to enjoying alcoholic beverages, with her ideal drink being a full-bodied, “beautiful red” glass of wine. Her former website, The Tig, was actually named after her favorite wine Tignanello.
Markle adds that she does not believe in depriving herself, but cautions that you should enjoy things “within reason”.
Markle’s diet is more of a lifestyle than a set of strict rules
Another one of Markle’s staples is green juice, which she has described as being “necessary evil” to a healthy, balanced diet and lifestyle.
Markle prefers to go for the juice rather than coffee when she’s feeling lethargic, choosing to blend a mixture of spinach, kale, apple, ginger, and lemon for a healthy energy boost.
Markle is very careful about what she chooses to eat when she is filming, choosing to start the day with a glass of hot water and lemon, followed by oats and bananas. She still allows herself an indulgence of pasta with wine for her evening meal but sticks to vegetables and fish for lunch.
Markle adds that in general, she tries to steer clear of foods that don’t make her feel good, or sluggish.
